Dixie's Tupperware Party - What a bash that was! - March 10, 2018

Talk about broadening your horizons. Have you ever been to a Tupperware party? Nope? Me neither. At least not until Saturday night.

Some friends asked Jules if she wanted to go and she said yes. Then they asked if Norm wanted to go. Norm does not go to Tupperware parties. So I volunteered to go with Jules. Norm would have none of that, so we both went with Jules. Ha!

The show was at the Grand Victoria casino in Elgin. Its a big boat, but the river is too small for it to go anywhere. I think they did it on purpose so people wouldn't get sea sick. Norm says that's what the politicians claim.

Dinner, before the party, was at the casino buffet. I was eating light. (Ok, it was round two. Sheesh.)

I needed to save some room for dessert.

Finally. Well, I was the last one up from the dinner table, but I'm still excited to attend my first Tupperware party. I have my ticket, lets go!

I must say though... If you are of the very reserved nature, unlike me and my love of fun and wild ways, this event might not be your cup of tea.

I got to MEET the star!! Up close and personal!

Meet Dixie!  Our Tupperware representative for the evening.

I would have asked for an autograph, but I was too excited to think straight!

I snuck up on stage while Dixie was still greeting folks at the door. See, REAL Tupperware.

Here you were probably thinking it wasn't a real Tupperware party. It IS!! I know, I was as surprised as Norm.

This is the famous (at least to us that know them) Andy and Justin. They were the wonderful people that initially invited Jules. I feel like such a rock star hanging out with them.

I also met some friends of Andy and Justin. This is Christopher and Janet.

I know, I am normally the big famous hot shot, but the competition Saturday night was fierce!

I got to get a picture with Jules' sister, Joan and her husband Larry. Its always fun to spend some time with Joan and Larry.

I'm pretty sure Joan was trying to butter me up. Although I'm not sure why. But anyone willing to give me a tasty beverage is aces in my book!

More aces! How can you not get a picture of the best bartenders in the building? Especially since they were willing to give me free tasty beverages! I thought it was hysterical that they charged Norm though! I guess I am a famous hot shot after all.

I have to apologize at this point. Considering that the event started shortly after this picture.

I got so sucked into the whole Tupperware party event and all of Dixie's shenanigans that I completely forgot to take more pictures of her or the folks from the audience that went up on stage. Besides, I was busy clapping and laughing and singing so much that grabbing the camera totally slipped my mind.

What a great night and event!

After the party we got most of our group together for a picture. Additions included Mark, between Andy and Joan, and Russ, next to Janet.

Naturally since we were at a casino and the night was still young (only 10 pm) we decided a few rounds at the slots would be fun.

This was Jules' big win! Twenty-Four bucks off a fifty cent bet. Nice!

Norm was just a donor to the casino.

Although I lost every dollar I had, I feel like I hit the biggest jackpot ever! Why you might ask? I convinced Norm to give me a few bucks so I could play too! I lost HIS money!!

Do me a favor please,

If you ever run into Dixie, tell her Travis says hello!

Until next time,

Travis
