Cheap skate? - Only with me! - July 2019

Greetings fellow travelers, gnomes and trolls.

Yes, 'tis I, Travis!

It has been a WHILE, no doubt.

I have many a story for you since I last bedazzled you with my deft writing. (Or as Norm would say, bored you nearly to tears with my scribblings.)

This entry pertains to one surprisingly loose with his money person. I say loose with his money, with anyone and everything else, EXCEPT ME!!

Yep, Norm himself!

I was truly impressed today when he asked me if I wanted to take a ride with him.

I was suspicious! Which is normal when Norm is being decent to me.

I wouldn't dare go anywhere with him unless Jules is along to chaperone. I wouldn't want to end up dumped at some truck stop or worse, in a ditch. Although, I really don't think he would do that... Do you?

This is Casper, the friendly Suburban
Today seemed different. Jules was going to an appointment and Norm was actually nice, and smiling.

Plus, he was going to be driving Casper. Nothing bad could happen when you're in Casper. Its a rule.

I should have been a bit less trusting, but I love riding around in Casper, and he had me with the smile. SO uncool!

Anyhow, we ran around doing errands and such. We even stopped and had a slice of pizza for lunch, it was really cool.

After lunch Norm said we had to stop and pick up a couple of items for the squirrels.

WHAT?!?

Pick up "items" for the SQUIRRELS???

Are YOU nuts??

This is "a couple of items" according to the NUT!

Over $100 bucks worth of stuff to feed squirrels and a bag of bird seed for fun.

The cans were necessary since Norm HATES mice and one or more had gotten into his garage.

So the cans will keep everything sealed up tight.

Dumb move mouse! Now that he knows you're there...

I won't go in the garage after today!

I was checking out the squirrel chair and didn't realize I was being stalked.

I'm used to everyone being friendly, like me. Well, except Norm of course.

Squirrels, I think, are friendly most of the time. Being too close to their peanuts probably isn't the best time to introduce yourself.

This is what any mouse in the garage will be faced with now as it attempts to be included in the free food at Norm's.

I suppose they could try and get some outside with everyone else.  The critters that have been seen by Norm and Jules are rabbits, skunks, raccoon, deer, opossums, and birds. No telling what has stopped by and wasn't seen snacking.

Norm was laughing just now. He said I forgot squirrels.

Who could forget these overly plump guys?

Duh.

I figured since Norm was being so easy with spending money on stuff I could maybe squeeze a cell phone out of him.

When I asked if I could get a...

He instantly cut me off and said "not a chance."

I tried to plead my case.

All he would say is -get a job-

I'll write more soon. Unless I'm still out looking for a job!
